Beacon, NY – Ethan Cohen Gallery is pleased to present Birds of a Feather, a group exhibition.

The exhibition title Birds of a Feather suggests notions of collective community, overlapping boundaries, and interconnected group identities. Small works by artists who have flocked to the Hudson Valley are exhibited alongside artists from around the globe, who live and work outside the borders of the region, but whose languages and aesthetics migrate, overlap and share common terrain.

Reflecting on everything from the eroding physical landscape to the volatile political boundaries embedded in our social dilemmas, Birds of a Feather composes a colorful chorus of global voices resounding throughout the Hudson Valley. In the natural world multiple species of birds may inhabit the same forest. Each species has a song that is distinct and clear, yet together their songs merge into a symphonious whole.

Ethan Cohen Gallery at The KuBe Art Center wants to honor its community of artists and share with our global community works that raise questions and challenge the issues we all face in the world today.
